Tears on a windowpane,
Ripples in a velvet mane,
Cold and crisp embrace of night,
Filaments of icy white.
Cracks in a porcelain heart,
Raging light tears time apart,
Dawn creeps, dusk slithers,
The daisy blooms and withers.
Winding mountain road up high,
Sparrows sing as embers die,
Cedar shivers in acrid haze,
The panther limps its final days.
Amber glow soaks maple leaves,
White flags wave as a mother grieves,
Summer swinging from a rope,
October brings a quiet hope.
